Travel Tip: Use eBags Packing Cubes to ease packing headaches!
Why It’s Important: Before I get into why these will be useful I have to admit that I was not entirely sold on them right away. John swore by them after using the cubes on his trip back to Germany but when he suggested I use them on our recent trip to Budapest, I protested a bit. I have finally gotten into a packing rhythm so if something comes along and threatens to interrupt that, I’m not entirely flexible. But, because John liked them and wanted me to give them a shot, I conceded.
So, I will put it in print – John was right, these packing cubes make life much easier. They save on space and they are especially handy in hotels when they act like pseudo drawers and keep the chance of making a mess with wayward clothing very low.
Before John came back, he took pictures of his clothes pre-cubes and post-cubes. The difference is pretty astounding:
I’ll admit, the cubes do help on space – and it is quite amazing the amount of clothes that can fit into one of them. For Budapest, I packed a large and medium size one with more clothes than I could possibly need and they fit comfortably in my weekend bag with room for toiletries.
- The cold weather pile after!
A pack of three runs you about $29 on Amazon.com, but they do come in handy so they are worth the price – especially if you need to save a little space on longer trips.
You and your packing rhythm. I like yer bags! Spectacularly-conceived and executed supplemental photographical story-telling btw. Loving the blog chica.
